AN INVESTMENT IN UNDERSTANDING

When people understand what is happening in their bodies, conversations change.

Fatigue, disrupted sleep, persistent stress and changing hormones can affect how someone feels and functions throughout a working day. A well-designed education session gives people the language to recognise those experiences, understand the science and consider practical next steps, while helping workplaces approach sensitive topics with greater confidence.

WORKPLACE WELLBEING

The Body Literacy Course.

Alongside my clinical work, I teach young women the fundamentals of their own physiology through The Body Literacy Course, my dedicated secondary-school education programme.

Schools can explore a 60–90-minute presentation or a longer ten-week programme, with topics including puberty, menstrual cycles, vaginal and reproductive health, endometriosis, PCOS, nutrition and navigating healthcare with confidence.

I'm Sam Mihaka, a Registered Clinical Nutritionist in New Zealand with a background in exercise science, human nutrition and functional medicine. My work spans complex women's health presentations, personalised clinical care and education, both with adult audiences and in secondary schools.

I enjoy taking topics that are often poorly explained or difficult to talk about and making them accessible, accurate and genuinely useful to the people in the room.
